IOWA CITY -- Xavier won two doubles matches to escape Iowa City High, 5-4, Tuesday in girls tennis.

The meet was deadlocked, 3-3, after singles. Iowa City High's No. 1 doubles team won, but the Saints won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to win the meet.

Claie Bouchard and Devin Hayes won singles and doubles matches for Xavier.
