Cedar Rapids Jefferson graduate Kellen Sweeney has been promoted to the Dunedin Blue Jays in the High-A Florida State League, the club confirmed Tuesday.

An earlier report by the Metro Sports Report that Sweeney would be assigned to the Lansing Lugnuts in the Low-A Midwest League was incorrect.

Sweeney, 22, was selected in the second round of the 2010 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He has hit .198 with 11 home runs and 81 RBIs in 244 games in the minor leagues.

Sweeney is listed as a third baseman on the Dunedin roster.
