The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders couldn’t come back against the Green Bay Gamblers and lost a USHL hockey game, 3-1, in front of 2,495 fans Friday at the Ice Arena.

The Gamblers scored all three goals in the second period.

Riese Zmolek put the RoughRiders on the scoreboard with a third-period goal, assisted by Ross Colton and Hugh McGing.

Green Bay led Cedar Rapids on shots on goal, 31-25.

The teams are now tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with 7-5 records and 15 points each.

The RoughRiders travel to Madison for a 7:05 p.m. game Saturday.
