Xavier remains the top-ranked team in Class 2A in this week's girls soccer poll released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

The Saints (13-1) tangle with Class 3A No. 3 Iowa City West (12-1) Thursday at Iowa City. The teams are tied for the Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division lead with two games left to play.

Washington moved up one spot in the Class 3A poll to No. 4. The Warriors (12-2) host No. 8 Kennedy (10-2) Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Kingston Stadium.

Linn-Mar (8-4) is ranked 10th. Jefferson, ranked 13th last week, dropped out of the poll.
