Cedar Rapids Kennedy is ranked third in Class 4A and Marion 10th in Class 3A in the first Iowa Girls High School High School Athletic Union volleyball poll released Wednesday.

Three of the top four teams in Class 4A are from the Mississippi Valley Conference. Iowa City High is ranked No. 2 and defending state champion Iowa City West is No. 4. Ankeny is ranked No. 1.

Marion is one of five Wamac Conference teams ranked in the Class 3A top 15. Other Wamac teams are Williamsborg (3), West Delaware (7), Solon (8) and Maquoketa (15).

Sioux City Heelan is ranked No. 1 in 3A, Western Christian in 2A and Tripoli in 1A.
