Hembera nets 26 as Cedar Valley falls

FAIRBANK - Freshman Shelby Hembera pumped in 26 points Tuesday night as the Cedar Valley Christian girls basketball team lost to Wapsie Valley, 56-38, in a non-conference game in Fairbank.

The winless CVC girls fell to 0-6, with all six games on the road. Their 38 points were the most this season.

Lindsey Cach scored eight points for the Huskies. Aarika Wittenburg led Wapsie Valley (4-6) with 18 points.

CEDAR VALLEY (38): Shelby Hembera 13 0-2 26, Alyson Wood 0 0-0 0, Carly Silver 0 0-0 0, Izzy Hoffman 2 0-0 4, Lindsey Cach 4 0-0 8. Totals 19 0-2 38.
