Fuller, Tagarelli lead Eagles by Clinton

JC Fuller scored 17 points Wednesday night and Joseph Tagarelli added 15 as the Kirkwood Eagles topped Clinton Community College, 69-55, in a junior college basketball game at Johnson Hall.

Myzeah Batie-Gaddy finished with 10 points and eight rebounds for Kirkwood (17-9, 8-4). Tagarelli snared nine rebounds.

Ajay Lawton had seven assists for the Eagles and Fuller had five. Taylor Olson missed the game with a sore ankle.

Samuel Bil scored 15 points for Clinton (1-22, 0-11).

Kirkwood men bump off Iowa Lakes

Ajay Lawton and Myzeah Batie-Gaddy scored 17 points apiece Saturday as Kirkwood defeated Iowa Lakes, 81-65, in a junior college men's basketball game at Johnson Hall.

Joe Tagarelli pitched in 14 points for the Eagles (16-9, 7-4).

Latrell Love scored 14 points for Iowa Lakes (16-8, 7-4).

Eagles miss Olson in loss at Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN - The Kirkwood Eagles lost to Marshalltown, 73-62, in a junior college men's basketball game Wednesday night with point guard Jacob Olson not in action.

Olson, a sophomore from Cedar Rapids Jefferson, missed the game due to influenza and walking pneumonia.

Ajay Lawton hit five 3-pointers and scored 24 points for Kirkwood (15-9). Myzeah Batie-Gaddy pitched in with 12 points.

Troidell Carter scored 23 points to lead Marshalltown (15-12).

Kirkwood men nudged by No.12 DMACC

BOONE - The Kirkwood Eagles had two chances in the final seconds to tie their game against DMACC and force overtime Saturday, but they missed both shots and lost a conference game to the Bears in Boone 85-83.

Joe Tagarelli missed the first chance to tie the game and Taylor Olson missed a tip-in as the game slipped away.

Olson scored 19 points to lead Kirkwood (15-8, 6-4). Tagarelli scored 17, Ajay Lawton had 16 and JC Fuller 15.
