CANTON, Mo. - The Mount Mercy women's basketball team returned to full strength Thursday night, but it wasn't good enough to prevent the Mustangs from falling to 1-and-14 in conference games this season.
Mount Mercy lost to Culver-Stockton, 81-69, in a Heart of America contest in Missouri.
Sharice Kawakami, who missed three games due to concussion protocol, returned to action and scored 19 points in 32 minutes off the bench. She made 5 of 7 3-pointers.
Brianna Thomas, who missed six games while serving a suspension, also returned and had six points in 16 minutes off the bench for Mount Mercy.
Aaliyah Brown contributed 18 points for the Mustangs, who fell to 5-16 overall. Lakin Goodman had 11 points.
Lacey Clark made five 3-pointers and scored 25 points for Culver-Stockton (12-9, 8-8).
