DES MOINES - The seventh-ranked Kirkwood softball team won two more games at the Winter Dome Tournament in Davenport Sunday.
The Eagles trimmed Southeastern, 5-3, and blanked Waubonsee, 11-0, in five innings.
Kirkwood (4-0) scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning against Southeastern to snap a 3-3 tie. Erin Hocker retired the side in the seventh inning to finish the victory.
Hocker tossed a complete game for the Eagles. She allowed three runs on seven hits, with four strikeouts and three walks.
Taleah Smith went 3-for-4 for Kirkwood against Southeastern. Jayme Finn and London Jackson had two hits. Finn drove in three runs and had a triple.
Bradee Bouman and Jocey Parham combined for a three-hit shutout in the 11-0 victory over Waubonsee. Bouman allowed one hit in four innings and Parham finished the game.
Jackson went 3-for-4 against Waubonsee, making her 5-for-6 in the two ballgames. Finn and Lauren Klaahsen had two hits. Rachel Stewart, Lauren Kuch and Klaahsen had two RBIs. Finn and Autum Barthelman scored twice. Finn had another triple.
