AMES - The Kirkwood and DMACC men's golf teams have established quite a rivalry this spring.
The DMACC Bears nipped the Eagles by one shot at the Wartburg Spring Invitational on Saturday, but Kirkwood got a measure of revenge at the ICCAC Spring Preview on Monday.
Kirkwood trimmed DMACC by three strokes, 295 to 298, for top honors at the Spring Preview at the Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames.
George Kalpakas of Kirkwood won the title by firing a 1-under-par 71. Kalpakas competed as an individual and his score did not count for the Eagles, but they won the championship anyway.
