MARSHALLTOWN - The fourth-ranked Kirkwood women's basketball team opened a 23-point lead in the second half Wednesday night and settled for a 65-51 victory over Marshalltown on the road.
Taylor Silva scored 16 points as the Eagles (12-4) won their eighth game in a row. Tyra Polite had 11 points for Kirkwood and Anna Martensen finished with 10.
Kirsten Larson collected six rebounds, five assists and five points. Polite also had six rebounds.
Jasmin Howe led Marshalltown with 16 points.
