Andrew Wirth scored 24 points and JT Vonderhaar added 18 Wednesday night, but they weren't enough to prevent the Coe men's basketball team from dropping a 71-65 verdict to Wartburg in an Iowa Conference game before 469 fans at Eby Fieldhouse.

Wartburg built a five-point lead at halftime and finished the game with that same five-point advantage.

Eddie Diemer scored 20 points for the Knights (12-12, 6-7). Jordan Cannon had 18.
