WAVERLY - Haley Smith, Taylor Riedl and Marisa Repp belted home runs Saturday as Coe defeated Wartburg, 12-4, in the second game of an Iowa Conference doubleheader in Waverly.
The Kohawks also won the first game, 5-1.
Aaran Weeces (10-4) pitched a complete game in the opener and did not allow an earned run. Repp went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Brianna Gardner, Paige Zahner and Smith had two hits.
Gretchen Lilienthal went 3-for-3 for Coe in the second game. Riedl was 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored. Maliah Fligg was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Mallory McArtor was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Repp also had two RBIs.
Coe raised its records to 17-11 overall and 3-3 in the conference. Wartburg fell to 19-14 overall and 0-8 in the league.
