Linn-Mar High School track star Kyle Dunn was arrested at 1:57 a.m. Saturday on a charge of drunk driving and will miss the Drake Relays and two other meets, according to a report Monday on the Iowa Prep Sports website.
Dunn was charged with operating while intoxicated and failure to maintain control of a vehicle, according to Iowa Prep Sports.
Dunn is the defending Class 4A state champion in the 400 hurdles and the 400 dash. He has signed a letter of intent to run track at the University of Arkansas next season.
Dunn will serve a three-meet suspension for violating school rules at Linn-Mar, according to the website report. He will miss the Prairie Relays and Forward Relays this week and will miss the prestigious Drake Relays next week.
