DUBUQUE - The Cedar Rapids Jefferson boys soccer team lost to Dubuque Senior, 3-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference match in Dubuque Tuesday.

FORT MADISON - The Cedar Rapids Jefferson girls track team won five events at the Timm Lamb Relays in Fort Madison Tuesday.
Mount Pleasant topped the J-Hawks for the title, 163 to 137.5.
Jefferson captured four relays in the 4x200 (1:43.57), the sprint medley (1:48.43), the 4x100 (49.27) and the 4x400 (4:22.49).
Hunter Koenigsfeld won the 800 for Jefferson in 2:24.78.
Marissa Meyer and Charlotte Flynn shared medalist honors with 42's Tuesday to help Dubuque Wahlert take top honors at a Mississippi Valley Conference quadrangular golf meet at Twin Pines.
Emily Machula of Prairie shot an 8-over-par 44 as the Hawks finished second in the meet. Brett Visser led Washington to third place with a 47.

Vale Caro cruised to a 10-0 victory over Kylie Jonas at No. 1 singles Tuesday as Prairie blanked Jefferson, 10-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meet at Prairie.
Magui Caro, Karleigh Schilling, Michelle Grenn and Anna Postinkov also won their singles matches by 10-0 tallies for Prairie.
PRAIRIE 9, JEFFERSON 0
Zach Bisenius and Alex Moncivais won a tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles Tuesday to help Jefferson nip Prairie, 5-4, in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis match at Jefferson.
Bisenius and Moncivais trimmed Jason Niccolls and Brandon Bruhn, 6-2, 2-6, 12-10 for a clutch point for the J-Hawks.
Alex Tvedte, Jason Chung and Kellen Brown won their singles matches for Jefferson.

The Cedar Rapids Jefferson boys tennis team lost all six tiebreakers Saturday and lost to Dubuque Wahlert and Dubuque Senior at the Jefferson courts.
The scores of both matches were 9-0.

DUBUQUE - The Jefferson girls tennis team put up a good fight in several matches Saturday, but the J-Hawks were blanked by Dubuque Wahlert and Dubuque Senior in a pair of Mississippi Valley Conference meets in Dubuque.
Mary Korch played No. 1 singles against Wahlert and Kylie Jonas played No. 1 singles against Senior.

The Jefferson J-Hawks took advantage of the good weather Saturday and posted four state-best efforts at the Kennedy coed track meet at Kingston Stadium.
Jasmine Blue took over the No. 1 spot in the 100 meter dash at 12.22 seconds and Abbie Ranschau moved to the top of the chart in the 100 hurdles in 14.87 seconds to help the Jefferson girls win the team championship by 50 points.
The Jefferson girls also lowered their own state-best mark in the 4x100 relay to 48.38 seconds with Lucy Schneekloth, Ranschau, Morgan Meese and Blue sharing the baton.
Merje' Bokoyo from the Jefferson boys track team was clocked in 10.86 seconds in the 100 meter dash, matching the best time in the state this year.
Melanie Wertzberger grabbed medalist honors with a 13-over-par 48 Friday as the Xavier Saints defeated Prairie and Jefferson in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at St. Andrews Golf Course.
Amy Olberding of Xavier was the runner-up with a 49.

The Linn-Mar girls soccer team poured in four goals in the first half Friday and blanked Jefferson, 4-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference match at Kingston.
Jensen Sevening, Olivia Garcia, Allie Noggle and Emma Schaerr scored goals for the second-ranked Lions. Noggle and Amanda Heiderscheit collected assists.
Schaerr converted a penalty kick for Linn-Mar.
