The Linn-Mar girls tennis team was trimmed by Cedar Falls, 5-4, in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A regional tournament Saturday at Linn-Mar.

Ashley Smith, Gabi Botsford and Mackenzie Luehring were victorious for the Lions at No.1, No.2 and No.3 singles, but Cedar Falls won several close matches to take the meet.

Cedar Falls will play Prairie in the regional semifinals next Saturday at Prairie.
