Marion girls split with No.11 Clippers

The Marion High School softball team split a Wamac Conference doubleheader with 11th-ranked Clear Creek-Amana Monday night at the Marion field.

Clear Creek-Amana won the first game, 4-2. Marion took the nightcap, 9-8.

Megan Glovik had two RBIs for Marion in the first game. Camryn Cannoy was 2-for-3. Megan Beckler was 2-for-3 for Clear Creek-Amana.

Alicia Steepleton went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Indians in their 9-8 victory. Sydney Nielsen was 2-for-3. Bayley Fuller, Steepleton and Grace Byers scored two runs.

Grace Murray went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Clippers in the nightcap.

The split left Marion at 8-5 and Clear Creek-Amana at 6-6.
