Cascade quarterback John Larkin found Trace Hoffman with a 16-yard touchdown pass with 15 seconds left in the game Friday night to give the Cougars a 29-26 victory over Marion at Thomas Park.

Marion grabbed a 26-23 lead in the fourth quarter on a 7-yard run by Gage Kray, but Cascade rebounded and handed the Indians their 11th straight loss dating back to last season.

Tony Perkins returned to the sidelines for Marion (0-3) after serving a one-game suspension last week. He still needs one victory to tie Les Hipple for the most in school history at 105.

Kory Walsh carried the ball 21 times for 210 yards for Marion and scored twice on runs of 5 and 55 yards, but it wasn't quite enough.

"We have to stay positive," Walsh said. "We have to strive to play better and keep pushing ourselves.

"We can't let a play or a series drag us down. We will continue to play as hard as we can."
