Former Marion High School wrestling coach Bruce Weisinger will be inducted into the Fort Madison High School Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday night.

Weisinger participated in wrestling, football and baseball at Fort Madison, graduating in 1977. He qualified for the state wrestling tournament three times, placing third and sixth.

Weisinger won the Southeast 7 Conference wrestling title three times (1975-77). He also was an all-conference linebacker and helped the Bloodhounds reach the state baseball tournament in 1976.

Weisinger wrestled at the University of Northern Iowa from 1978-82 and qualified for the national tournament in 1980. He coached the Marion High School wrestling team for 20 years before retiring after the 2010-11 season.
