The 16th-ranked Marion High School boys soccer team was shut out by Dyersville Beckman, 4-0, in a Wamac Conference match at Marion Tuesday.

Steggall, Draeger pick their colleges

Marion High School seniors Johanna Steggall and Jamie Draeger will continue their sports careers at the University of Dubuque.

Steggall will play volleyball and participate in track with the Spartans. Draeger will be a member of the track team.

There will be a ceremony for Steggall and Draeger in the school district board room at the high school on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Balanced Benton golfers trip Marion

VAN HORNE - Benton Community had three golfers shoot a 40 as the Bobcats edged Marion, 162-173, in a Wamac Conference boys golf meet at Tara Hills.

Marion's Ian Kelly also had a 40 to share medalist honors.

Marion girls fall at W. Dubuque

EPWORTH - Marion's Madison Wilson posted an 8-5 win over Julia Wickham, but it wasn't enough as the Indians dropped a 7-2 Wamac Conference girls tennis meet to Western Dubuque.

The Indians also won at No. 3 doubles.
