IOWA CITY - Natalie Rumer slugged a pair of home runs and drove in five runs to lead Prairie to a pair of wins Saturday in the Iowa City West softball tournament.
Rumer belted a grand slam in the Hawks' 6-4 win over Davenport West.
Prairie boomed three home runs in an 8-6, eight-inning win over North Scott in its second game. Rumer, Halle Lueck and Olivia Usher all homered for the Hawks, who completed the two-day event with a 4-0 mark and improved to 6-2 overall.
Lueck and Brittney Lash were 2-for-3 and scored two runs in the opener. Katie Kuch scattered eight hits for the win.
Rumer was 3-for-3 in the nightcap, with a pair of doubles. Usher had two hits and drove in three runs. Gabi Carter was the winning pitcher.
