Grady Waldron, David Downey and Matthew Feldman will be inducted into the LaSalle-Regis-Xavier Alumni Hall of Fame this Friday night at Xavier.
The three new members will be honored during halftime of the boys basketball game against Linn-Mar.
Waldron, a 1997 graduate of LaSalle High School, was named first team all-state as a wide receiver and second team all-state as a defensive back. He set the LaSalle record for most receiving touchdowns in a single season and led the Lancers to a 9-0 record during the regular season in 1996.
Waldron also received honors in baseball and track during his high school career. He played semi-pro football for three years for the Iowa Tractors.
Downey, a 1985 graduate of Regis High School, played football, basketball and baseball. He was named all-state in each sport and was named the Male Athlete of the Year at Regis as a senior.
Feldman is being inducted into the Hall of Fame as an outstanding alumnus. He graduated valedictorian from Regis High School in 1998 and was actively involved in numerous academic programs.
Feldman received the first John Chrystal Award from the World Food Prize Organization and received a scholarship to Harvard, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2002. Feldman currently manages his own investment firm in New York City.
