Olson tallies 25, J-Hawks hold off North Cedar

CLARENCE -- Jefferson's Taylor Olson scored 25 points and the J-Hawks withstood North Cedar's long-range attack to pull out a 62-54 win in a battle of ranked boys basketball teams.

Class 4A No. 8 Jefferson (7-0) also got 12 points from Alec Saunders and 10 from Ky Kramer.

Class 2A No. 10 North Cedar (5-2) splashed 10 3-pointers, including six by Seth Bendixen, who finished with a team-high 20 points. Jordan Hay had 16 points.

JEFFERSON (62): Alec Saunders 5 2-2 12, Jacob Olson 2 1-2 5, Ky Kramer 4 0-0 10, Tyler Hemphill 4 0-2 8, Taylor Olson 9 3-4 25, Justin Underwood 1 0-0 2. Totals 25 6-10 62.

NORTH CEDAR (54): Josh Sander 2 1-2 6, Josh Kintzel 2 0-0 4, Jacob Hay 1 0-0 2, Kyle Jackson 2 0-0 6, Jordan Hay 5 5-7 16, Seth Bendixen 7 0-0 20, Jayden Johnson 0 0-0 0. Totals 19 6-9 54.
