ELDRIDGE - The Cedar Rapids Jefferson girls soccer team compiled a 3-0 record with an impressive showing at the North Scott tournament Friday and Saturday.
The J-Hawks tied Muscatine for first place, but the Muskies were awarded the title on goal differential.
Jefferson trimmed Moline, 2-1, Saturday on goals by Trina Gallagher and Katie Ives. The assists went to Ives and Katie Dierks.
The J-Hawks also nudged Waverly-Shell Rock, 2-1, Saturday in a shootout. Ives scored during regulation, then Alexis Brennan, Shalyn Kinney, Haley Murray and Gallagher scored goals in the shootout.
Maddy Webber made two saves in the shootout to secure the victory. Kinney had an assist in the game.
Jefferson raised its record to 4-2, with three wins against ranked opponents.
