KEOKUK - Kianna Jacobs scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds Friday night as the Kirkwood women's basketball team defeated Southeastern Community College, 63-45, in the NJCAA Division II regional semifinals in Keokuk.
The seventh-ranked Eagles (28-4) will face Iowa Central (23-8) in the regional finals Saturday at 3 p.m. in Keokuk. The winner will advance to the national tournament in East Peoria, Ill., on March 19-23.
Jacobs scored 11 straight points for Kirkwood during a stretch that spanned both halves. She collected 14 of her 19 points in the second half as the Eagles pulled away from a 27-20 lead at intermission.
Alexis Fitzpatrick made four 3-pointers and scored 14 points for Kirkwood. She also handed out six assists.
Ksenia Sharan led Southeastern (17-15) with 16 points.
