OTTAWA, Kan. - The sixth-ranked Kirkwood softball team finished its spring trip Wednesday by sweeping a doubleheader from Ottawa (Kan.) University.
Kristen Winter went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBIs as the Eagles won the first game, 15-1, in five innings.
Kayla Tatge went 2-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs as Kirkwood took the second game, 9-0, in six innings.
The Eagles raised their record to 12-3.
Haylee Krack went 3-for-3 for Kirkwood in the opener. Lauren Smith was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Shyanne Saladino struck out nine batters and allowed five hits.
Krack went 2-for-3 in the second game. Kelsie Campbell and Lauren Weber had two RBIs. Sam Belz struck out six batters and allowed five hits.
