The ceremony to rename the Cedar Rapids Jefferson softball field in Larry Niemeyer's honor has been rescheduled for June 12 at 7:15.

The ceremony will take place between games of a doubleheader against Waterloo West.

The event had been scheduled for Wednesday night, but was postponed due to rain and wet grounds.

Niemeyer is the former Jefferson softball coach who has won more high school softball games in his career than anyone else in the country.
