No. 5 J-Hawks raise mark to 10-0

The fifth-ranked Jefferson J-Hawks swept a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader from Cedar Falls Thursday, 7-6 and 14-4, to remain undefeated for the season.

Jefferson raised its marks to 10-0 overall and 8-0 in the MVC with the clean sweep at home.

Maddie Hansen socked a three-run homer for Jefferson in the first game. Avery Guy went 4-for-5 and Erin Kuba was 3-for-4. Alyssa Olson was the winning pitcher.

Sydney Briney and Guy went 3-for-4 in the second game for the J-Hawks. Tori Brandon, Emily Walton and Hannah Towns had two hits. Brandon drove in two runs. Taylor Holub was the winning pitcher.
