J-Hawks break Little Hawks in boys tennis

IOWA CITY -- Jefferson won three tiebreaker sets to beat Iowa City High, 6-3, Wednesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys tennis meet.

All three Jefferson tiebreaker wins came in singles. Andrew Miller and Andrew Meyer both lost the first set of their matches, but bounced back to win their second sets and forced tiebreakers that they won. Colten Jourdan won his first set, dropped the second, then bounced back to claim the tiebreaker.

Jefferson freshman Jacob Donald was beaten in a tiebreaker in his No. 2 singles match.
