The Kennedy Cougars and Cedar Falls Tigers split a Mississippi Valley Conference baseball doubleheader at Kennedy Friday night by identical 5-2 scores.

Cedar Falls won the first game, 5-2, and Kennedy took the second game, 5-2.

Freshman Jackson Behn pitched six innings for the Cougars (2-4, 1-2) in the opener. He was touched for four runs, but only two of them were earned.

Derek Jacobus went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the nightcap for Kennedy. He also pitched the seventh inning for the save.

Brock Skow went 3-for-4 in the second game. Joel Smetzer was 2-for-3.

Cedar Falls is 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the MVC.
