Prairie held on to the No.2 spot while Linn-Mar slipped into a fourth-place tie with Waverly-Shell Rock in the second dual meet wrestling rankings released Thursday by the Iowa Wrestling Coaches Association.

Both, apparently, have clinched home matches for the Class 3A regional dual meet wrestling tournament. The rankings released Thursday are the guideline for next month's pairings.

The top 16 schools in Class 3A qualify for the regional tournament. The regionals take place on Feb. 6. The eight regional winners advance to the state dual meet tournament, Feb. 13 at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

According to the rankings, Prairie most likely will host Burlington in the regionals. Linn-Mar's foe likely will be Western Dubuque, Clinton or Pleasant Valley.

Pairings are expected to be announced late next week.
