Hembera nets 17 against No.5 team

WELLMAN - Cedar Valley Christian sophomore Shelby Hembera showed Monday night that she can score points against one of the top teams in the state.

Hembera tossed in 17 points as the Huskies lost to Mid-Prairie, 45-19, in a non-conference game in Wellman.

Mid-Prairie (12-3) is ranked No.5 in Class 3A. Cedar Valley Christian (1-11) plays in Class 1A.

Mallory McArtor led Mid-Prairie with 13 points.
