Strutz paces Huskies by Mid-Prairie

WELLMAN - Jeremy Strutz tossed in 25 points Monday night as Cedar Valley Christian trimmed Mid-Prairie, 58-54, in a boys basketball game in Wellman.

The Huskies raised their record to 8-7 by winning for the seventh time in their last eight games.

Will Muhlbach contributed 16 points to the victory and Spencer Zielke chipped in with 12.

"Great win against a pretty good team tonight," Cedar Valley Coach Jeff Pospisil reported.

Elliot Runciman scored 10 points for Mid-Prairie (7-8).

CEDAR VALLEY (58): Scroggs 0 0-0 0, Koch 0 1-2 1, Landis 1 2-2 4, Zielke 4 2-2 12, Strutz 8 8-11 25, Gustafson 0 0-0 0, Muhlbach 6 4-8 16. Totals 19 17-25 58.

MID-PRAIRIE (54): Hall 3 0-0 7, Hoffman 1 2-2 4, Stimson 3 0-0 8, Faselt 4 0-0 8, Miller 2 0-0 4, Runciman 4 2-4 10, Shalla 3 2-2 8, Aldeman 1 0-0 2, Johnson 1 1-2 3. Totals 22 7-10 54.
