Cedar Rapids Kennedy tailback Alex Hillyer will continue his football career at Iowa Western Community College.

Hillyer rushed for 1,662 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. He was named first team all-state, all-Mississippi Valley Conference and all-Metro.

Tory Harman will sign to play soccer at the University of Iowa. She helped the Cougars win the Class 3A state title last year and was named the Player of the Year on the all-Metro and all-Mississippi Valley Conference teams. She had 10 goals and eight assists.

Brock Skow, who punted 43 times for a 38.5-yard average for the Cougars last season, will be joining Hillyer at Iowa Western.

Tony Maiers, a pitcher and catcher for the Kennedy baseball team, is headed to DMACC.

Katie Wampole will run cross country and track at Bradley.
