CEDAR FALLS - Northern Iowa junior Derek Kramer placed second in the 60-meter dash at the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Sunday in the UNI-Dome.

Kramer, a former state champion at Xavier High School, was clocked in 6.79 seconds. Northern Iowa teammate Carlos Anderson won the race in 6.71 seconds.

Indiana State won the team title. Northern Iowa tied for third.
