DES MOINES - Jefferson senior Nicole Petersen rolled a 461 series to finish third Tuesday in the Class 2A girls state bowling tournament at Plaza Lanes.

Jefferson finished sixth in the team race. Washington was eighth.

Waterloo West won the tournament with a score of 3152.

Kennedy's Amanda Wiedemeier shot a 448 to finish sixth. Jefferson's Jessie Alff tied for ninth with a 438.

Alexus Wilson of Waterloo West won the individual title by shooting a 503 series.

The tournament was originally scheduled for Feb. 22 but was postponed by snow.
