WEST BRANCH - Cedar Valley Christian scored a pair of second-half goals and beat Scattergood Friends, 2-1, Friday in boys soccer.
The game was switched to West Branch because Cedar Valley's home field at the Tuma soccer complex was unplayable.
The score was tied, 0-0, at halftime.
Cedar Valley took the lead in the 42nd minute when Jon Landis' shot from about 70 yards bounced over the keeper's head and into the net.
One minute later Danielo Mafuta scored for Cedar Valley, dribbling past two defenders and poking the ball past the Scattergood keeper.
Scattergood pulled back within one in the 54th minute with a goal by Brian Turindwamukama.
