Seven Metro athletes have been named first team all-state in girls soccer by the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association.

There were two athletes each from Kennedy and Linn-Mar, and three from Xavier.

Kaela Dickerman and Tory Harman of Kennedy, Jensen Sevening and Olivia Garcia of Linn-Mar were named to the Class 3A first team.

Kayla Armstrong, Sammi Shepard and Sarah Chicchelly were named to the Class 2A first team.

Four other athletes earned second team honors.

Emily Feltes of Kennedy, and Linn-Mar's Madison Scheldrup and Rylie Frese were named to the Class 3A team. Xavier's Monica Busse was named to the Class 2A second team.

Jordan Holmes of Kennedy, and Katie Kigin and Sarah Keppler from Washington were honorable mention in Class 3A. Lucy Martin from Xavier was honorable mention in Class 2A.
