Caleb Davison and Tyler Votroubek drove in two runs apiece to rally No.6 Prairie past Solon, 8-4, Tuesday night in a non-conference baseball game at Prairie.

Solon scored three runs in the top of the first inning.

Prairie (25-12) scored two runs in the first inning and two more in the second to take a 4-3 lead.

Solon tied the game with a run in the top of the fifth, but the Hawks took it right back in the bottom of the frame on Votroubek's RBI single.

The Hawks put the game away with three runs in the sixth inning. Brennan Hammer, Davison and Votroubek had RBI singles.

Prairie hosts Waterloo West in a Class 4A substate tournament quarterfinal Friday night at 7.
