The Xavier Saints fell from No.1 to No.9 in the Class 4A football rankings Sunday by the Des Moines Register following their 26-10 loss to Cedar Rapids Washington Friday night.

Dowling Catholic (6-0) took over the No.1 spot, followed by Pleasant Valley, Ames, Iowa City West and Waukee.

Sioux City Heelan is ranked No.1 in Class 3A, Waukee is No.1 in Class 2A, Iowa City Regina is No.1 in Class 1A, BGM is No.1 in Class A and Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton is No.1 in Eight-Player.
