The Xavier Saints climbed one spot to No.7 in the Class 4A football rankings by the Des Moines Register Sunday.

The Saints (7-1) blanked Cedar Falls, 14-0, Friday night.

West Des Moines Dowling leads the Class 4A rankings, followed by Pleasant Valley, Ames, Waukee and Iowa City High.

The top-ranked teams in the other classes are Sioux City Heelan in 3A, Waukon in 2A, Iowa City Regina in 1A, BGM in A and Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballtown in Eight Player.
