ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Minor League Baseball and the Topps Company announced Monday that Cedar Rapids Kernels outfielder Adam Brett Walker has been named the winner of the George M. Trautman award as the Topps/Midwest League Player of the Year.

The Twins selected Walker in the third round of the 2012 draft from Jacksonville University. He led the Midwest League with 27 home runs and 109 RBIs in 129 games this past season.

Topps honors the top performers throughout Minor League Baseball, including monthly awards and all-star teams in each classification.
