Hembera pours in 34 for Huskies

TAMA - Shelby Hembera continued to be a one-person scoring machine for Cedar Valley Christian Monday night, but she could not do it alone for her ballclub.

Hembera scored 34 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Huskies lost to Meskwaki, 63-36, in a non-conference game in Tama.

Last week, Hembera collected 30 points and 12 rebounds in a 52-33 loss to Central City. The 6-foot junior is averaging 32 points and 14 rebounds and has scored 64 of her team's 69 points in two ballgames.

 

Hembera made all 12 of Cedar Valley's field goals Monday, including a 3-pointer. Miriam Chadima made two free throws for CVC's other points.
