Lions, Hawks ranked 4-5 in wrestling

The Linn-Mar Lions and Prairie Hawks, two traditional powers in high school wrestling, are ranked right next to each other in the first Class 3A poll of the season by The Predicament.

Linn-Mar is ranked No.4 and Prairie is ranked No.5, The Predicament announced Monday. Both teams will compete in the Independence tournament this Saturday.

Bettendorf is ranked No.1, followed by Southeast Polk and Waverly-Shell Rock.

Linn-Mar has two top-ranked wrestlers with Alijah Jeffery at 120 pounds and Ross Lembeck at 152.
