Warriors swim past J-Hawks, 105-62

PDF

Jefferson got Washington's attention by claiming first and second in the first event of Thursday's dual meet at the J-Hawk pool.

And the Warriors came roaring back.

Jared Thorson and Nick Saulnier were quadruple winners, and Cameron Kelley was a triple winner in leading Washington to a 105-62 win.

The Warriors trailed 12-0 after the first event, the 200 medley relay, when both foursomes were disqualified.

Washington lost only one other event. Jefferson freshman Paul Hummell claimed the 100 breaststroke.

Thorson won the 200 and 100 freestyle, and Saulnier won the 50 free and 100 backstroke. Both swam on the winning 200 and 400 free relays.

Kelley won the 200 individual medley and 500 free. He swam a leg on the 400 free relay.

Matt Jackson won the 100 butterfly for the Warriors.
