MINNEOLA, Fla. - The 21st-ranked Coe softball team raised its record to 4-0 Monday with a pair of victories in Florida.
The Kohawks topped Methodist University, 6-4, and rallied to defeat Misericordia, 6-3.
Nicole Gentile went 3-for-4 against Methodist. Danielle Schlotterbeck, Emily Grell and Taylor Riedl had two hits apiece and Grell drove in two runs.
Maddison Woodruff got the victory against Methodist by pitching 3.2 innings in relief. She allowed one hit and struck out four batters.
Coe rallied from a 3-0 defict to defeat Misericordia. Schlotterbeck tied the game, 3-3, with a solo home run in the fourth inning. Abby Flannagan drove in runs to make it 5-3 and 6-3.
