KCC baseball team drops 2 games

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Kirkwood Eagles finished their spring trip Wednesday with an 8-2 record after dropping their last two games in Winter Haven, Fla.

The Eagles got only two hits in a 2-0 loss to UConn-Avery Point in their first outing Wednesday. Tyler Butz hit a double and Angel Merced had a triple.

Kirkwood scored two runs in the bottom of the last inning against Massasoit Community College in the second game, but the Eagles fell a run short in a 6-5 setback. Nick Jones went 3-for-4 for the Eagles. Randy Perez and Shawn Hagarty had two RBIs.
