The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announced Wednesday that outfielder Jason Kanzler and infielder Engelb Vielma have been activated from the 7-day disabled list and that infielder Carlos Avila and catcher B.K. Santy have been given their unconditional release.

Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the moves.

Vielma (hamstring) and Kanzler (concussion) both went on the DL May 14.

Santy played in 15 games for the Kernels, batting .204 with two homers and nine RBIs. Avila played in three games, batting .333 with a double and two

RBIs.
