Girls soccer fans from the Metro area can enjoy a doubleheader at the state tournament Thursday at Cownie Park in Des Moines.

The Xavier Saints (10-7) will face Ankeny Centennial (12-7) in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A state tournament on Field 7 at 2:45 p.m.

The Kennedy Cougars (13-6) will meet Bettendorf (17-2) in the quarterfinals of the Class 3A state tournament on Field 8 at 5 p.m.

The semifinals are scheduled for Friday with the finals on Saturday.
