Cedar Rapids Kernels pitchers Ethan Mildren and Todd Van Steensel were promoted to the Fort Myers Miracle in the Florida State League Monday, according to MiLB.com.

Mildren, a starting pitcher, compiled a 3-5 record and 4.03 ERA in 73.2 innings for the Kernels. He excelled in his last two outings, throwing seven shutout innings against Clinton June 29 and seven more shutout innings against Beloit July 4.

Van Steensel, a relief pitcher, had a 0-0 record and 1.30 ERA in 30 games for the Kernels. He collected eight saves in 34.2 innings.
